Spring is here and after the rains everything was washed and sparkly.

At the school, couldn't resist these mauve blooms against the blue sky. Another week and they will disappear for leaves.

Eagle crossing

I see this eagle statue at the signal everyday but either I have the green light or never near enough at the red light to take the click. Today, I was aligned just perfect.

When your cell phone goes missing...

...you remember the next day it is in his car you took last night. Because a cell phone is like water, you have to go to his workplace to get it and click these trees between the office building and the parking lot.

The color purple

Popped into a store for a Yoga mat and also found these purple flats. That makes my flats count to three.

Dinner time

Some fresh and some dried fruits with ricotta cheese make a perfect dinner on the day you feel like eating light.

The standing train

Remember this and this. The glorious Spring weather took us on another train gazing ride. There is something paradoxical about a rusty train on tracks.

My calendar

I was more happy to get this free calendar than the clean teeth at the dentist. Also, the first day, well second day of spring break if you count Sun.

Cooking from the masters

We made corn bread from BBA, crunchy kale and almond cupcakes fom JP's MFFMW.

Study in shadow

Remember the Gnarley head. This time I looked down on the concrete pavement instead of up and found these wonderful shadows.

Fridays are to finish assignments pushed to the last minute and a hot cup of Nescafe' to ward off the yawns.

Waiting for the library doors to open I got a quick shot of the beams under the covered walkway.

Shoe love

He is also in love with his rainboots which I got for him on Mon, a rainy, windy day. It hasn't rained since then but he still likes to wear them to school and then change into his regular shoes once in class.

Frozen in time

We went to the Children's Museum again. This is second time in two weeks and this time the moss covered dino won.

An unevetful day of dropping the kid off to school, cleaning the house and filling up gas and in the absence of inspiration clicking the price of gas.

While I was trying to watch Oscars and capture a click for the blog, he was trying to get me to click his new crocs. No good pics of the TV but this is what I have from that lazy Sunday.

When he sulks

We are not happy when Mommy is in school the whole day, even when she took us to a Jump Place b'day party when she came back in the afternoon. "But why does she have to go back again?"

Brand new

The couch has been repupholstered and this time it is covered in a study micro suede to withstand jumping and spilling abuse. It is still awaiting proper throw cushions.

Of butterflies and moths

They were going for the orchestra.

 Went with friends and kids to the botanical gardens for a butterfly exhibit but the tickets were exhorbitant so roamed the gardens and visited the Japanese gardens. Took tons of pictures but these two won hands down.

When the plumber came to visit

I had been operating on one sink but when the faucet started leaking, I had to call the plumber. He fixed the other defective sink and the faucet and was gracious enough to let me take a picture. Thank you Tim.
