Bikram Rocks! (The Ganesha Tattoo)

Al, a fellow yogi at Bikram, was gracious enough to pose for me. His wife was even more gracious by positioning him several times around the room so I could get the best image of the Ganesha. One of my proudest photos of the project.

Remember the standing train. This wild flower was growing next to it when we visited it for the umpteenth time.

Ten years and I am still not used to religious billboards.

Lunch date

Unlike other couples with kids, we have never felt the need for a date night. We do, however, miss eating in restaurants that don't offer a kid's menu. Classic Cafe is as classy as the name suggest and the food is classic without being pretentious or overpriced. It is our special haunt for the times when we are not in the mood for take out.

The missing E

Caught this on the side of a storage facility today. Only in the US will you find storage sheds for storing stuff (crap) you don't have space for in your oversized home.

The Snake

My neighbor killed this snake in her backyard. She was giving it to the pest control guy for disposal and I took a quick click. I forget if the snake was dangerous or not.

Lunch for one

For the first time in my life, I had lunch by myself at the Corner Bakery. The tomato soup was yummy, the chicken panini was good as usual and the chips oily.

Central Market sells their own brand of Mozerella which they make in the store.

I usually pop raw almonds, pecans and other nuts in a cooling oven. These ones burnt because the oven temp was cooling down from 450 instead of the usual 350.

Home improvement

 

The mandatory visit to this or the other (Lowe's) home improvement store for a home owner in the US. Today, we were there for some hardware for the blinds and some garden supplies.

Workplace

Sometimes I like to drop in at his workplace to pick up something I forgot. Today, it was a check that was due the same day.

Messy

A busy schedule equals a messy pantry. Cleaned up pantry pic coming soon.

Our daily bread

The German bakery, Bread Haus, where we buy our daily bread. Technically, I buy a couple of loafs and freeze them.

The Cake Aisle

 

The cake aisle at the local Albertson's. The cakes looks better than they taste. 

Man on the roof

It always makes me nervous to see men working on replacing the roofs. Especially on windy days.

Haircut

We always have some drama when it comes to getting a haircut for the Jr. It is not so much to do with the haircut but the head bath that will come after it.

The moving train

We went for the train ride after a long time. The weather was perfect and the kid enjoyed every minute of it.
